Dr. Jacobs presently serves as part time Adjunct Associate Professor of Neurology, University of Florida College of Medicine, Gainesville Florida. Dr Jacobs serves Shands two days per month caring for multiple sclerosis patients in an outpatient setting.
In addition, he is Vice Chair of the Department of Neurology, and Director of Stroke Services at Orlando Health, and directs the (outpatient) Multiple Care Center in Orlando, where he spends the remainder of his clinical time. The Multiple Sclerosis Care Center of NSO is the only MSFC accredited multiple sclerosis center in central Florida.
In 1982, Dr. Jacobs earned an A.B. in History from Stanford University. He earned an MD from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, then served his Residency in Neurology at Kansas before being appointed a Fellow in Cognitive Neuropsychology and Behavioral Neurology at the Shands Teaching Hospital Department of Neurology, Gainesville, FL from 1992-94.
Dr. Jacobs is a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology, a member of the International Neuropsychological Society, and the Center for Neuropsychological Studies. He practices as a general neurologist with particular expertise in multiple sclerosis, stroke, and dementia. He is listed in Best Doctors of America.
