Marc-Alain Babi, MD
Dr Babi is thrilled to join the University of Florida Neurology and Neurocritical care programs. Dr Babi is a fellowship trained neurointensivist. Dr Babi completed his fellowship training at Duke University Hospital, and his residency training at the University of Vermont, where he also served as chief resident. Dr Babi completed his undergraduate and medical training at Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar and New York.
Dr Babi is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and Neurocritical care Society. Dr Babi has earned numerous awards, including a total $30,000 research award (Qatar National Research Award Fund 2007-2010), American Academy of Neurology Resident Scholarship Travel award (2015), and Alpha-Omega-Alpha Honor Medical Society (2015, Housestaff Awardee). His research interests include systems of care and acute reperfusion therapies in large vessel ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage and subarachnoid hemorrhage. He is fluent in French, Serbo-Croatian and Arabic. Outside of work, Dr Babi enjoys free-diving and fishing and spending time with his two children.
