Discussion on “Brain Awareness Week” is scheduled for the North Central Florida Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience on Wednesday February 12th at 12:30pm in the MBI room LG-110. Again, everyone is welcome and pizza will be provided. We will also be accepting chapter dues. Dues are $10 for students and postdocs and $25 for faculty members. We are accepting cash and check.  This is also a reminder to register for our annual conference on Monday March 10th by February 14th.  This is registration for general attendance at the conference which includes guest speakers Dr. Mark Bear and Dr. Steven DeKosky, data blitz participation, and poster competition participation. Your next FACULTY MEETING is Tuesday February 25, (All meetings will begin at 5:30pm and will be held in the Neurology Large Conference Room, MBI L3-101. Faculty meetings will be held to an hour and Faculty Retreats will span longer).

A REMINDER sent by the Neurology Administration and Leilani Doty, Ph.D.  Announcing Spring FEO Awards  The Provost has announced the next cycle of Faculty Enhancement Opportunity (FEO) awards will be offered in Spring 2014. Please review the INFO: http://www.aa.ufl.edu/FEO .  Please make sure you meet the eligibility requirements before applying. Please put February 14, 2014 in your calendar for the deadline to have your applications submitted to the COM-FEO review committee. Once again, Letters of Intent (LOI) are required for COM applications (email quillen@ufl.edu).
