Your next FACULTY MEETING January 07, 2014 (All meetings will begin at 5:30pm and will be held in the Neurology Large Conference Room. Faculty meetings will be held to an hour and Faculty Retreats will span longer).
SAVE THE DATE – January 16, 2014  Florida Symposium on the BRAIN Initiative  McKnight Brain Institute  Keynote:  Professor Emery Brown, M.D., Ph.D. Harvard Medical School & MIT On January 16, 2014, The McKnight Brain Institute (MBI) at the University of Florida is hosting the Florida Symposium on the BRAIN Initiative. This symposium, in collaboration with The Scripps Research Institute of Florida, will focus on identifying and enhancing our competitive edge through information exchange and collaboration. Broad participation from UF Colleges, Scripps Florida, and other Florida institutions is expected. The event will begin at 8:00am and will be held at the MBI’s DeWeese Auditorium. BRAIN (2)

Attention to Everyone located in MBI and surrounding area: From Monday, Dec. 9, through Friday, Jan. 17, Newell Drive will be reduced to one lane. Newell Drive lane closure planned for December to mid-January.  Work on renovations to the UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital are in full swing.  Please help us keep all our customers informed of these traffic changes.  Reminder from Kelly Sharp

UPDATED January 06 -McKnight Brain Institute RFA’s Due to the holidays, the MBI is extending the application deadline for our Neurodegenerative Disease Programmatic Support Grant RFA.  Applications are now due by 5pm, January 13th.   UPDATE-MBI Neurodegenerative Disease Prog. Support Grantsdocx There are four (4) RFAs from the MBI. 1-MBI Fellowships RFA – McKnight Brain Institute Fellowships , 2-MBI Neuroimaging Pilot Grants RFA – MBI Neuroimaging Pilot Grants , 3- MBI Therapeutic Discovery and Translation grants RFA – MBI Therapeutic Discovery and Translation Grants , and 4- MBI Neurodegenerative Disease Programmatic Support Grant RFA – MBI Neurodegenerative Disease Prog.
