Construction Issues in MBI -PPD has notified ACS that there will be some necessary facility construction occurring in the L5-191 hallway near certain rooms Thursday March 6th between the hours of 9am-11am. They will try to keep the disturbance to a minimum; however, as with any construction there will be some noise and vibration. I just wanted to make everyone aware of the situation so that we can plan accordingly. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know. Congratulations to the following Movement Disorders members on your presentations at the “Victory Summit” in Jacksonville  on Jan 25, 2014, hosted by  Davis Phinney Foundation for Parkinson’s. The nationally prominent foundation established by Davis Phinny, well known bicyclist, hosts daylong event in several cities in US each year focusing on wellness among people affected by Parkinson’s.  Chris Hass, Ph.D. and Shankar Kulkarni, Ph.D, MSPT presented a breakout session including Practical rehab applications supported by research findings to prevent falls . This newly introduced topic at the Victory Summit was appreciated by a full house audience.  Please see attached letter.  DavisPhinneySummitResponse2014. Kudos also to Dr. Chris Hess, M.D. who presented a well-received breakout session on pain management at this summit. 
 
Your next FACULTY MEETING is Tuesday March 25, (All meetings will begin at 5:30pm and will be held in the Neurology Large Conference Room, MBI L3-101. Faculty meetings will be held to an hour and Faculty Retreats will span longer).
