Congratulations to Dr. Aunali Khaku!  Dr. Khaku has been selected to Neurology on the Hill which will take place April 22-23, 2013, Washington, DC.  Neurology on the Hill is an annual, two-day event hosted by the American Academy of Neurology that takes place in the spring. Participants are flown to Washington, DC, to put a face on the challenges of people with neurologic disorders and the physicians who treat them. For many Academy members, Neurology on the Hill is their first hands-on experience with the political process.

2nd REMINDER – ANNUAL HIPAA & Privacy Training 2013 is NOW DUE for all employees and volunteers, including faculty, residents, fellows and staff, full-time and part-time. If you have already completed your HIPAA training since Dec. 1, 2012 through MyUFL, you are in compliance for this year – you do NOT need to repeat the training.  If you, as an employee, completed the Privacy Office training module (with the registration at the end), it will not count – you must complete the training in the MyUFL e-Learning system – no exceptions. IHOP’s annual National Pancake Day on Tuesday, Feb. 5, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.  Visit your local IHOP to receive a free short stack of pancakes. Donations will be accepted and contributions for seven local restaurants will directly benefit the Children’s Miracle Network at Shands Hospital for Children at the University of Florida. Your next FACULTY MEETING will be Tuesday February 26, 2013.  All meetings will begin at 5:30pm and will be held in the Neurology Large Conference Room. Faculty meetings will be held to an hour and faculty retreats will span longer with dinner being served.
