Updates from this month’s Medical Director MeetingMedication reconciliation – There is a current problem with changes that the nurses or other staff makes to medication lists in the outpatient setting prior to the provider visit not updating after the visit if the provider does not specifically address. Thus patients are reporting updates repeatedly and not having their medication lists updated. With the 2014 version of Epic upgrade coming in July, the provider note will not close until this medication issues flagged by the nurse is addressed (accepted or refused). There will also be a PRN button added.Patient satisfaction assessment- UFHealth has contracted with a vendor (Press Ganey) who will email patients (who have provided an email address) a link to a satisfaction survey which will be provider/visit specific and this data will be distributed to providers and administration. This will start in early Fall.MyUFHealth – reminder – starting in June/July patients will be able to fill out medications and allergies prior to their visit in mychart.
