NIH Grant Changes

NIH has finalized instructions regarding grant elements that will improve the rigor and reproducibility of federally-funded research (for full details see NIH notice NOT-OD-16-011 and associated notices NOT-OD-15-103 and NOT-OD-15-102).  These policies take effect for most NIH research proposals submitted for due dates on or after 25 January 2016.  The notice of award requires language within the Approach section of the proposal and will be a reviewable/scorable element by study section.

All travel requires a travel authorization prior to travel and leave requests should be submitted no less than 60 days in advance.
