The Aspen movement disorders course started in 1991 at Columbia University through the efforts of some of the movement disorders “founding fathers”: Drs. Hallett, Jankovic, and Fahn. It is a great yearly review of movement disorders held in beautiful Aspen, CO. Since 2016, the movement disorders society (MDS) has been in charge of organizing this course. Everyone is invited to attend including faculty, fellows, residents, graduate students, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech/swallow therapists, and social workers.
