Dr. Khanna joined the Vascular Neurology division of the Department of Neurology in 2011 and previously served as the Interim Medical Director from 2016-2018, during which time the Comprehensive Stroke Center was awarded the prestigious designation of Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite from the American Heart Association for its rapid treatment of stroke patients. As Medical Director, she will lead an interdisciplinary team of vascular neurologists, endovascular neurosurgeons, emergency medicine physicians, neuroradiologists, vascular surgeons, neurocritical care physicians, rehabilitation specialists, stroke nurse specialists, and pharmacists to focus on quality and effective stroke care proven to improve patients’ outcomes.
