We are thrilled to announce that our amazing residency coordinator, Jennifer Shipley, has been awarded the 2020 Debra L. Dooley Program Coordinator Excellence Award from the ACGME!
This national award is given to only five awardees annually from among the many thousands of ACGME coordinators and programs. It recognizes coordinators with the highest understanding of the ACGME accreditation process, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and who strive to consistently improve their programs.
Jennifer has been our coordinator since 2006 and has been instrumental in the growth of the residency program from 3 residents per year to the current 8, as well as the development of nearly ten fellowship program in the department. Anyone who has worked with her knows that she is absolutely amazing and is the true force that keeps our educational programs running.
