Presentation by Albert Einstein College of Medicine’s Dr. Anne M. EtgenNoon – 1 p.m. | Location TBA Join us for a presentation by Anne M. Etgen, Ph.D., a professor emerita in the departments of neuroscience, psychiatry, and behavioral sciences, pediatrics, and obstetrics and gynecology and women’s health at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her research focuses on determining the cellular and molecular mechanisms by which the ovarian steroid hormones regulate brain function. Lunch will be provided for the first 100 attendees. |

The Inaugural Unity in Diversity 5K Run, Walk & Roll7:30 a.m. | Newell Drive In partnership with the UF College of Medicine and the UF Chief Diversity Officer, student organization Unity in Diversity will host an inaugural 5K to to unite people of all ages, cultures, faiths, genders and disabilities while raising funds for the UF College of Medicine’s Willie J. Sanders Scholarship. The fund was established in 2012 in memory of Sanders, who was the first black faculty member at the college, to support students committed to making a contribution to a pluralistic community and a diverse student body. Registration for the race opens at 6:30 a.m., and the race begins at 7:30 a.m. The start and finish line will be on campus under the bridge connecting the McKnight Brain Institute and the Harrell Medical Education Building.
