Society for Neuroscience Chapter Conference – Abstract Submission!

Poster abstracts now being accepted!

We would like to invite poster abstracts for review and/or presentation at the 11th annual chapter conference on February 19th, 2021!

Use this link to submit https://forms.gle/4s6XCFoD1KaAfhmA6 .

This year’s conference will offer a chance to exchange scientific discoveries, network, and present to fellow neuroscientists across the North Central Florida region. The North Central Florida region includes, but is not limited to, students and faculty at: University of Florida, Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, Sante Fe College, and Jacksonville University.

Our fully remote experience will afford everyone the opportunity to compete to be highlighted as a Postdoctoral and Junior Faculty speaker, present your research through a virtual poster session, have lunch with our keynote speaker (undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows), and engage with other scientific professionals throughout the day!

We are excited for our keynote speaker this year, Dr. Steven Maier – Director of the Center for Neuroscience at the University of Colorado Boulder! Dr. Maier specializes in understanding the mechanisms of immune-to-brain signaling and implications for stress, mood disturbances, cognitive impairment and exaggerated pain states, as well as exploration of variables that modulate the impact of stressors on brain chemistry/neurochemical mechanisms by which stressors alter behavior, mood, and reactions to drugs of abuse.

If you have not yet registered for the event, please use the following link (https://forms.gle/xD1WF7QDr3p6kq3D7).

Should you have any questions about the event or wish to discuss any details further please reach out to our conference Co-Chairs Christian C. Garcia (christiangarcia@ufl.edu) or Courtney S. Wilkinson (c.wilkinson@ufl.edu).
