The University of Florida College of Medicine’s Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society Beta Chapter celebrated its new members during an annual banquet the evening of March 16. Election to the prestigious national organization is reserved for a select few students, residents and faculty who have excelled academically and in teaching, service, character and patient care. Congratulations to Irene Malaty, MD on her indoctrination to the society. Dr. Malaty is the Barbara Padgett Dein Professor of Neurology and director of the Parkinson Foundation Center of Excellence and Tourette Association of America Center for Excellence in the department of neurology.
