Brain Injury Awareness Month

March is National Brain Injury Awareness Month

Every March, the Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA) leads the nation in observing Brain Injury Awareness Month. The purpose is to educate the public, reduce stigma, and highlight the challenges faced by over 5.3 million Americans living with permanent brain injuries. The campaign features the theme “My Brain Injury Journey” to share stories and promote prevention of traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and acquired brain injuries (ABI). We encourage you to share your story to show others that they are not alone. Scroll through some featured stories, and then submit one of your own.
