About our Outpatient Clinic
Our outpatient clinic is located at the UF Health Neuromedicine Hospital located on the 1st Floor at 1505 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32608.
Our outpatient program services over 3000 patients from north and central Florida, and we see referrals from all over the state of Florida and the southern United States. Our experienced attending physicians, nurse practitioners and office managers staff over 40 half-day clinics that see over 150 patients weekly. Our waiting list for new patients is under two weeks, and we can usually see urgent patients sooner.
All outpatients are offered a detailed and unhurried evaluation of their seizure disorder. Outpatient electroencephalography (EEG) is conveniently located next to our clinic rooms; the outpatient lab for blood tests is also located on the same floor. Patients always have access to our staff through our phone lines and the patient portal of our electronic medical record system. We offer expert evaluation of patients suspected to have seizures, new patients following their first suspected seizure, and patients with a longer history whose seizures remain difficult to manage. Our outpatient services are backed up by a brand new 8-bed epilepsy monitoring unit in the UFHealth Neuromedicine Hospital, and the full range of diagnostic facilities for state-of-the-art evaluation of epilepsy.

New patients are normally seen initially in our outpatient clinic and most patients continue to follow in clinic at regular intervals. A large proportion of our patients are complex referrals from community neurologists who need inpatient observation in our Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. Most patients will be investigated with EEG in our outpatient lab; admitted patients are observed with long-term continuous video-EEG monitoring. Our long-established epilepsy surgery program is a multidisciplinary approach to patients who need a surgical therapy.
The Division also has for several decades provided outpatient services to the Tacachale Developmental Disability Center.
