Jessica Schramm, PA-C

Jess graduated with a Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Florida. Her passions in pursuit of her career include humanitarian missions to remote villages in Afghanistan. She was born and raised in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Her hobbies include hiking, kayaking, and rock climbing.

Alexandra Byers, PA-C

Alex received her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Oklahoma, and quickly moved back to her home state of Florida. While in school, she helped promote interdisciplinary training between all the health professional programs on campus.  She is an avid Tampa Bay sports fan, and outside of work you can find her outdoors, at a sporting game, running, traveling, or spending time with her cat.

Amber Coca, PA-C (per diem)

Amber was born and raised in Riverview, Florida. She completed her Masters of Science with a major in Physician Assistant Studies at Wagner College in Staten Island, New York. Amber’s passions in pursuit of her career include medical mission trips to Peru and Guatemala along with playing collegiate soccer. Fun fact about Amber is that she is an identical twin. She loves watching sports and spending time with her new puppy.

Kaitlyn Evans, PA-C

Kaitlyn is a native Floridian and a graduate from the University of Florida with a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She is proud to be a double Gator, having also received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Florida. While pursuing her career, Kaitlyn volunteered regularly at Helping Hands Clinic in Gainesville. Her hobbies include ultimate frisbee, rollerblading, exploring the outdoors in the greater Gainesville area and spending time with her cat.

Kensley Graves, PA-C

Kensley received her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Florida, where she served as the Community Outreach Chair for her class. Prior to attending graduate school, she enjoyed a career as a social worker with a focus in child welfare. She has lived in Gainesville for 20 years and enjoys spending time with family, traveling, volunteering, cooking, and watching football.

Leah Kuntz

Leah previously worked as a researcher in the Gene Therapy Program at the University of Pennsylvania, but she found a love for neurologic injuries at her side job as a CNA in a brain injury rehab. She received her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston before moving to Gainesville. In addition to brain injuries, her professional interests include medical ethics and APP education. She is an avid Philadelphia sports fan and loves to spend time outdoors. She is excited to explore local springs and hopes to befriend an alligator.

Nathan Ordway, PA-C

Nate was born and raised in Ocala, Florida. He received his Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Florida. Prior to this, he worked as an EEG technologist. His wife, Ashley, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at UF. Nate is proud to be a first-generation college student. He enjoys kayaking, walking his dogs, traveling to the beach, and playing sports.

Scott J. Sacks, PA-C

Scott graduated with a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Florida. He is passionate about helping others, not solely as a healthcare provider, but also through community initiatives. Scott is a founding partner of a local 501(c)(3) non-profit organization supporting music education programs. He enjoys traveling, writing, nature, photography, cooking, and music. He is best defined by his commitment to and quality of relationships with his wife, family, and friends.

Kevan Sharp, PA-C

A Florida native, Kevan received his masters of Physician Assistant Studies in 2016 from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Myers, FL. Before landing in Gainesville, he lived in Seattle, Washington, where he worked as a Trauma P.A. and spent his free time exploring the Pacific Northwest with his wife Kaylee and his Eskipoo puppy Baxter. His hobbies include traveling with Kaylee and Bax, hiking, playing pickle ball, experimenting with drone photography, and gardening. A fun fact about Kevan: during a hike in Glacier National Park, he was approached by a wild grizzly bear, which he sincerely hopes is the last time that will ever happen.

Min Zheng, ARNP

Min received both her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Florida. Although she was born in China, she considers Gainesville her adopted hometown and is a Gator through and through. Prior to joining the Neurocritical Care team, she had been working in the pharmaceutical industry and as a RN for years (CCRN certified). Outside of work, Min likes a variety of sports, including running, swimming, and tennis. She also enjoys spending time with her sons and exploring new hobbies together.

Katie received her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Florida. In her professional role, she is committed to providing high-quality patient care and advocating for PA education. She currently serves as an academic tutor for PA students. Outside of work, Katie enjoys cooking and trying new foods, watching sporting events, traveling, and hiking.
