Gainesville Clinic Rotations
(Full day or Half day)
Expectations:
- Dress code is professional or semi-professional dress.
- Work with one of the attendings you are scheduled with that day to allow for more accurate assessment of your skills and aptitudes.
- Locations in Gainesville may include the UF Neuromedicine Hospital (East Tower), Fixel Institute for Neurological Diseases (Williston Road), and VA hospital
- Participate actively in the care of the patient. Do your best to obtain a sufficient history and exam to obtain a diagnosis and come up with a plan of care.
- Ask Faculty if you can see the new or follow up patient and write clinic notes accordingly. Seeing patients independently may not always be possible depending on how many rooms the attending has assigned to them during clinic. Seeing patients independently before staffing the patient is encouraged whenever possible.
- Ask Faculty if they have a specific template you need to use to write the note
