About Christopher E Beskow

Christopher Beskow grew up in Naples, Florida, and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida before attending the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine at Auburn University in Alabama for medical school. He is thrilled to train at the University of Florida for his Neurology Residency. His interest in the field began long before medical school after observing the power of the neurological exam and the impact a neurologist can have within an underserved community as a medical scribe. What struck Chris prior to medical school, and still moves him now, is how deeply neurological illness can affect a person’s identity, whether it be their voice, movement, memory, or sense of self. The privilege of helping patients navigate these deep personal losses and find strength in their stories is what makes Neurology feel so meaningful to him. Chris loves all of Neurology but is especially interested in the treatment of neurodegenerative conditions, with his current subspecialty interests focusing on Movement Disorders and Behavioral Neurology. Outside of the hospital, Chris enjoys all things related to music! He’s played in several bands, was an online session musician, and hosted a college radio show. He loves movies, gaming, and cooking steak and smash burgers. Further, he loves spending time with his wife Savannah, who is also an Emergency Medicine Resident at the University of Florida, and their beloved cats Django and Percy.
