About Maria Bruzzone Giraldez
Dr. Maria Bruzzone received her medical degree from the Universidad de la República, Uruguay. She pursued a neurology residency at Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood, Illinois, which she completed in 2016. She then completed a fellowship training in Neurophysiology/Epilepsy at the University of Chicago Medical Center in 2017.
Dr. Bruzzone also participated in different short-term training programs such as the J. Kiffin Penry Epilepsy Education Programs and Minifellow Network: Resident Program in Epilepsy, North Carolina (2014); the Neurology Residency Epilepsy Program in Orlando, Miami (2015); the Neurologist in training Clinical Ethics Elective of the American Academy of Neurology (2015-2016) and the Epilepsy-Patient Oriented Research Training (EpiPORT) program of the American Epilepsy Society (2016).
Dr. Bruzzone is board certified in neurology and epilepsy. She is fluent in Spanish (native speaker).
