About Javeria Javeid
Javeria Javeid is a medical graduate from Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore, with a deep passion for neurology and neurocritical care. Her research has been recognized on both national and international platforms, earning her the 2024 Paul Dudley White International Scholar Award. She has contributed to studies in cerebrovascular disease, neurodegeneration, and sleep disorders, with a focus on improving outcomes and addressing disparities in critical care. Javeria’s clinical and research interests include neurocritical care, stroke, neurodegenerative disorders, psychiatric comorbidities, cognitive neuroscience, and neuroplasticity. She is particularly driven by the goal of connecting scientific advances with the real-life journeys of recovery and healing. She looks forward to contributing meaningfully to initiatives like BLOCK-SAH. Outside of medicine, Javeria is a storyteller and creator. She served as Chief Editor of Humans of AIMC, a platform highlighting the voices of students and faculty through narrative. She enjoys hiking, basketball, baking, reading and writing poetry, and crafting handmade gifts for loved ones. Exploring new coffee spots is one of her favorite ways to recharge. Through mentorship, community engagement, and creative expression, Javeria believes in a model of healing that listens deeply with ears, eyes, and heart. She hopes to contribute to both patient care and neuroscience research with purpose, humility, and passion.
