Daniela Pomar Forero, MD

Daniela Pomar Forero, M.D. joins as a Research Scholar with the Acute Clinical Trials Program. Daniela is a doctor graduate from University of los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia. Since an early age she discovered her passion for medical knowledge and assisting others. During her college years she volunteered in several foundations where aiding others and learning about their medical conditions generated a particular interest in her which made her pursue her medical career. During her medical degree she was recognize for her passion, values and commitment with patients and community service. In addition, during her undergraduate rotations and throughout her career she has worked closely with cancer patients, which has given her the opportunity to learn through them and from them about the value of life. Additionally, she aided on a book chapter about artificial intelligence in the medical field. Moreover, she is deeply passionate about medical knowledge and is specially interested in neurocritical care with particular interest in neurodegenerative disorders, brain tumors, CNS infections, neurobiology of learning, memory and neuromonitoring. Her major hobbies include reading, jogging, traveling to new places and coffee tasting.
