About Thiago Santos Carneiro
My name is Thiago Carneiro, MD, MPH, I am a Clinical Assistant Professor with the Department of Neurology at the University of Florida College of Medicine. I am board-certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
I received my medical degree from the prestigious Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and completed my neurology residency at Boston Medical Center, Boston University. I then went on to complete my neurocritical care fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center – Harvard Medical School.
During my training, I received multiple awards and contributed to numerous research publications. My current research focuses on the role of neuromodulation in acute brain injury. Additionally, I completed a Master of Public Health at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. I am currently a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Neurocritical Care Society.
In my free time, I enjoy playing guitar and listening to all genres of music.
