Jennifer Shipley,

The heart of any residency program is its coordinator, and we are truly lucky to have Jennifer Shipley, winner of the 2020 Debra Dooley Program Coordinator Excellence Award from the ACGME. To quote one of our prior graduates, “Charmingly straightforward and ever-hardworking, Jennifer’s go-to phrase is “we can make that happen.” She is a motivated team player who cares about each of us as trainees but also as people. From arranging food options for residents with dietary restrictions to making sure our licensing process was seamless as we transition from residency to fellowship, Jennifer is incredibly dependable, supportive and knowledgeable. An email from Jennifer inevitably pops up in my inbox saying, “Your form is ready for pick up in your mailbox” what seems like only a moment after I hit “send”. This could only happen because she is meticulous with keeping our records up to date and because she cares.
