Melissa Silance,

Melissa is a post undergraduate student from Santa Fe College with a degree in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences (FYCS). She has over 17 years of customer service experience, 3 of which was working in a medical clinic setting while completing her Associate’s degree. She entered college to study Biological Sciences and decided to switch to FYCS after discovering a new passion towards Child Welfare and Social Services. After completion, she pursued a career in the field and began working for a Non-Profit Organization that advocates for the safety and wellness of children and families in the welfare system.

Some of her interests include psychology, theater, animals, traveling and spending time in nature. In Melissa’s spare time, she practices yoga and meditation, plays pickleball and volleyball, and enjoys cooking, baking and arts & crafts activities with friends.
