Jessica H Thompson

Jessica has been an Administrative Support Assistant with the Chemistry Department since 2015, and prior to that worked just under ten years in emergency dispatch in Tallahassee, FL. She grew up in Gainesville, attending Eastside High School, and moved back in 2012 to be near family. Her role in Chemistry was as the Inorganic Division assistant, taking care of all things needed by the inorganic students and faculty; grant proposals, contracts and evaluations, purchases and reconciliations, and weekly seminars. She also assisted in organizing several events while in the Chemistry Department including Molecular Mania, which is held on the Saturday before Halloween at The Oaks Mall.

She enjoys craft projects, organizing things, and reading Jim Butcher’s novels.
