Matthew L Vasquez, MD

Dr. Vasquez earned his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Florida and completed his medical education at Ponce Health Sciences University in Puerto Rico. He returned to the University of Florida to complete his neurology residency, where he developed a keen interest in neuromuscular disorders. He is passionate about educating future neurologists and enjoys getting to work with residents.

During his time here he has authored a publication on drug-induced myasthenic syndromes. He also worked with the American Academy of Neurology to produce an educational video to help any physician to differentiate the clinical scenarios that are more likely to benefit from electrodiagnostic testing. He holds a special interest in motor neuron disease and improving outcomes in ALS.

Dr. Vasquez continues to work with a headstrong attitude to improve the quality of life of patients with neuromuscular disorders.
