Taylor M Kagel, DO

Taylor Kagel was born and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She grew up surrounded by the water and swam competitively throughout her childhood, also coaching her summer league swim team for countless summers. Taylor was fortunate to have an early introduction to neuroscience in undergrad as she completed a dual degree in Clinical Neuroscience and Biological Sciences at Virginia Tech. Taylor stayed in Blacksburg for medical school, as she attended VCOM-Virginia where she was able to delve further into her love for neurology. While at VCOM, she volunteered as a trainer for Rock Steady Boxing for Parkinson’s disease patients and worked on a multitude of research projects and publications investigating peripheral nerve repair and regeneration. Within neurology, Taylor has specific interests in epilepsy and movement disorders. She also has a strong passion for mentorship and medical education. In her free time, Taylor enjoys unwinding by watching any type of reality TV, discussing game theory, listening to true crime podcasts, and spending time with family and friends.
