About Jean E Cibula
Dr Cibula holds the BJ and Eve Wilder Professorship in Epilepsy at the University of Florida. Dr. Wilder is a retired longtime University of Florida faculty member from the Department of Neurology and the Gainesville VA Medical Center who performed pioneering research in epilepsy pharmaceuticals and epileptogenesis.
She grew up in Cleveland, Ohio where she attended medical school at Case Western Reserve University and was trained in epilepsy and behavioral neurology at the University of Florida. She was on the faculty at the University of Kentucky as well as in private practice in Columbus, Ohio prior to her move back to the University of Florida.
Dr Cibula is a fellow of the American Academy of Neurology, American Clinical Neurophysiology Society and the American Epilepsy Society, and has served on the board of the Florida Society for Neurology. She served as an officer of the UF College of Medicine Faculty Council 2012-2021. She also serves as the medical director for the UFHealth Neurodiagnostics Laboratory.

Research Profile
Dr Cibula is involved in new drug studies for epilepsy and has a particular interest in the behavioral neurology/epilepsy overlap. She has ongoing collaborations in EEG education and is a co-investigator for the adult precision ketogenic diet program.
