Jungyun Hwang, PhD

Jungyun Hwang, PhD, is a Research Assistant Professor in the ABC Division of the Department of Neurology at the University of Florida. His research focuses on understanding the neural control of age-related mobility impairments and enhancing gait and balance in individuals with neurological conditions, particularly older adults. His work integrates neurorehabilitation, non-invasive electrical neuromodulation, electrophysiology, biomechanics, and exercise physiology to address various mobility challenges. Jungyun completed his postdoctoral training in motor control and neurorehabilitation at the University of Florida and earned a Master of Arts in Exercise Physiology and a Ph.D. in Physical Activity and Education from the University of Texas at Austin. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis.
